City Recorder
Welcome to the South Ogden City Recorder’s Office. It is my goal to act as a liaison between the residents and elected officials and keep our citizens informed.
What the recorder does:
- Acts as the clerk for the city council and therefore prepares and distributes the agenda, gives notice of all meetings, and prepares minutes of meetings
- Posts all public notices
- Keeps and maintains all municipal records, including all ordinances and resolutions adopted; all requests for records should be made through the recorder
- Oversees municipal elections (odd numbered years)
- Processes requests for records
- Publishes monthly newsletter
- Acts as the clerk for the planning commission and therefore prepares and distributes the agenda, gives notice of all meetings, and prepares minutes of meetings
- Receives and processes all planning and zoning applications
- Answers planning and zoning questions
