RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be accepted at the Office of the South Ogden City, 3950 South Adams Avenue, South Ogden, Utah, 84403, until 2:00 p.m. on August 31, 2022, for the 2022 Street Maintenance Project for South Ogden City Corporation. 

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  The work consists of the following work in existing City Streets: Asphalt overlay and leveling course for 35,000 S.Y. of the existing pavement. The work also includes edge milling, pre-lowering, and raising existing manholes and valves and all other related appurtenances and associated work as indicated in the Contract Document. 

The work will also include the following work in the existing City Trails: Remove and Replace 8,100 S.Y. of H.M.A.

LOCATION OF WORK: The work is located as indicated in the Bidding Documents. 

COMPLETION OF WORK:  All work specified in the contract documents shall be completed in 2022. 

OPENING OF BIDS: Bids will be publicly opened at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at the aforementioned office of South Ogden City. 

OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents may be obtained upon application and payment of a $30.00 non-refundable fee at the office of Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering, 1150 South Depot Drive, Suite 225, Ogden, Utah 84404, 801-775-9191. Bid documents will be available online at https://www.wasatchcivil.com/ 

BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price, made payable to South Ogden City Corporation as a guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Contract, secure payment of Worker’s Compensation insurance and furnish a satisfactory, faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price. 

PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed to the Project Engineer. No specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any “or equal” products be considered for approval prior to award of Contract.
